The Xbox was born of the Dreamcast. The only thing apple related was Halo, due to Bungie being a Mac developer before being bought out. the 360 however is based off the PPC 970’s used in apple G5. Before that Nintendo was the closest to being related to Apple with the used of IBM PPC’s since the SNES. :P

Is there anything ‘other’ than Halo to consider when measuring the Xbox? I think master Rhodes would agree with me when I say a console is made up of its games, like a country is made up of its people. See how Playstation III comes to life thanks to MGS4. . .

Saying that halo is the only thing to measure the x-box with is like saying that mario is the only thing to measure nintendo with. With games like Fable, Dead Rising, Bioshock, Oblivion, Mass Effect, hell even viva pinata (wicked fun, but dont buy it for your kids…way to hard….) the x-box has become a system that most of the more seriouse gamers can find a home in, so there really isnt any truth in saying halo is all the x-box has.

Re. Technotron, with the exception of Fable, each of the games you mention are for 360.

Actually, with the exception of Dead Rising all of those games are for the PC. With most of them being sequels (of sorts) that originated on the PC or being by developers (Lion’s Head, Bioware) that were for notable PC developers long before the Xbox.

If anything the Xbox is the younger brother of the PC, but without the ability to grow.
