lol. Very nicely timed good sir. But who’s that rowing the boat? :O
“And what *dost* thou say”…
“Thou canst prove nothing”…
Just in case you care about using proper grammar in middle english.
@JauntyHat It’s psp ( The Pirate King) rowing the boat. It’s from an earlier comic.
How I hate R4…
Is this comic based around some recent developments around the loathsome thing?
Or the N64. In any case, you guys certainly don’t waste any time with your game journalism. That is certainly impressive.
It’s PSP the savior !
PSP is easier to play pirate games. They just need to be hacked with just 15 minutes and a miniSD (or microSD ?). There you go
PSP isn’t rowing the boat, that controller-headed guy is. I don’t really know which controller that is though.
@kvb; Nintendo at about 50 other companies are taking legal action against companies that make/promote devices like the R4.

Actually the DS is easier to play pirated games. At least for new PSP’s as compared to DS’s. DS you don’t have to do anything. PSP’s you have to go through the firmware downgrading and then upgrading to hacked versions.
Plus if you don’t know someone you have to buy a Pandora battery.
I really wish the creator would write something to accompany his comics. Yes, a la Penny-Arcade.

@Teddylj
That would kind of ruin the mystique of it all, though.
@Aust
Well, FINALLY. It’s too bad everyone and their dog already owns one of these by now!
@ Teddylj
Not everyone is a rambling chatterbox like Tycho the amazing apple shaped man-boy.
@ Kvb
Why the hate for the R4? did that vidcon kill your precious poodle “pixietoes mcwiggles”?
I’d like to think the r4 represents all flashcarts. For once I’d own something featured in Castle Vidcons! Wishful thought approved?
I still don’t understand why the PSP is the pirate king. PCs have been plagued by piracy for longer than consoles, and the pirate community is far larger for the PC than any other gaming system. Maybe it’s because there’s no physical device to symbolize bittorrent or p2p.
It’s easy as sin to pirate games for any system. Oh, but nobody cries about emulators!
I use my DS flash card primarily to play music, draw and email pictures, and to mix beats. God knows the games aren’t any fun.
Mister X: God knows you’re entitled to your own opinion… even if they’re horribly skewed. You really haven’t found a title among the vast library of neat DS games that catches your interest? I’ve been in love with mine since I’ve owned an R4.
Also, I think the PSP is the Pirate King for reasons outlined in whichever comic the PS2 was rescued from oblivion in… the idea being that they were going to rehash all these PS1 games and then the PSP stole them all. (Since people can play just about any PSX game they want via hacking and Sony’s own emulator.)
Wonderswan would make sense for the judge. I was initially trying to work it out, but the best I could get was Game Gear. Wonderswan, however, with the two d-pads is clearly the correct ID.
I’d like to think of bittorrent and p2p for pc would act as a smugglilng route or underground railroad. Even though it’s not explicitly stated, that water they’re rowing away on is the bit-torrent.
Take a close enough look in a future comic and you may see that it’s filled with 1’s and 0’s to represent bits and the water the torrent.
Just my speculation on what will happen. It should all flow through the PC’s land.
