Wait, shouldn’t the GBA be the one buried, seeing how the DS was supposed to be “The Third Pillar” and wasn’t going to replace the GBA?

That’s likely the DS Phat, the first version of the DS. Since I believe the Queen is a DS Lite…

Yeah, that is a DS Phat. You can see the power button over the d-pad, and they’re both in a little indentation.

The DS Lite isn’t going to go away anytime soon. Plus I think this probably will be a two SKU thing for a while so i’m curious what happens here to reflect that.

Indeed, though it makes me wonder what relation the now Queen has with the older DS.

It could be her lost mother, or even the sister she never knew in her-…..You know, I think I’m getting way too into the actual lifestyles of the vidcons instead the the meaning of the comic.

Yes the third piller represents the former stand of the first DS when it came out into the market.

With the arrival of DSi, it is possible the same thing could happen to the DS lite: dead and buried under the same third party place as the first.

I dont think that King Wii will kill Queen DS any time soon. DSi might have bigger screens and a “SD slot” but let’s not forget that DSi is region locked(I wonder how Tyler would present that?) and thats enough reason to not get rid of the queen so soon.

Ooh i’ve got this one: Have DSi speak with her sister of her many lovers in foreign lands! While Lady DS (lite) knows naught but the Wii.

Also: Eventually, an iPod will probably show up here, what with a few games being developed for it…

since Nintendo are pushing for the DSi/Wii connectivity I think it will go like this:

King Wii is going to have a special releationship with DSi(concubine or a mistress maybe with a significant court influence) while keeping DS as his queen. However, Vidcons(us) will favor the queen (GBA slot and no region locking)

DSi exclusive software and carts are region locked. Thats not really a big deal until they start making a bunch of DSi only games.

Plus with the SD storage and stuff, you’d know hackers will be able to unlock it, or spoof regions.
