People are expecting a new game for PS3 and go pirate it only to see it’s Bioshock which came out a while ago and threw it into the ocean and crashing the ship, alas, the plane crash.

I’m pretty sure this was a LittleBigPlanet comment Endokun. What with the Islamic font going on with the pirates.

@Endokun:

It’s LittleBigPlanet and the muslim chant controversy.

No… it’s about LBP, hence the use of Arabic.

I’m pretty sure that the game in the crate is LBP, not Bioshock. Notice that the pirates are speaking Arabic, the crate has the Media Molecule logo on it, and the game has sackboy on the cover.

Haha, koran references in LittleBigPlanet. What a sad time to be a PS3 owner.

It is about little big planet being delayed because some of the music had lyrics from the Koran in it. Muslims don’t like anything.
The ship they were in is a galley which they used back in the Barbary Coast during the age of pirates.

So can anyone read the Arabic text the pirates are speaking? I’d like to know what they said. Though it’s probably just “God is Great!”

So what’s the Arabic that the pirate is yelling say? My guess would be for ‘All will perish!’.

Should have ended with the shipment washing back up on the shore, at the feet of the King & Prince.

“‘All that is on earth will perish” was also one of the lines in the song that caused the delay.

a) its not arabic, their just random arabic alphabets which loosely translated is (not joking) N A F A H Y L A N F L K.
b) btw this can also be any other language that uses arabic script, such as urdu, punjabi, persian, etc. even though i only know urdu, i do know that the above are not words as many of these alphabets are written in continuous form to make words.
c) @ kotep, while we muslims have limited cognitive abilities, we like to think that in the last 1400 years in which we developed and improved both math, economics and other sciences (surgery as opposed to exorcisms, anyone) we may also have developed a language that was capable of more than just condemning others to hell.

@Endokun
“Interpreting comics, you are doing it wrong”

@Husnain
Maybe kotep guessed the “all will perish” phrase for the comic title :)

LOL good comic.
It’s unfortunate how much controversy ignited over the phrase inclusion in the game. Then again, if the same message was in any other language (German, Spanish, even English) I think the recall would have still occurred. The issue here isn’t Arabic, but the creepy message itself.

Long live Arabic numerals! 0123456789!!!

the arabic text is the line that was in the song, but written from left to right (arabic is from right to left) and with seperation between letters (that’s incorrect in arabic), but well to have a photoshop write in arabic will take up to 3hours of installing stuf.
the line in arabic kan be pronounced like this ‘kol man alayha fan” wich is aproximatively the reverse of what “Husnain” translated in the 17th comment

كل من عليها فان – probably the closest translation I can think of once I reversed it and connected it properly was Kul – every, min – from, 3leeha (the 3 is a gutteral “eh” sound called the aiyn) – by, fan – die. Or at least, that’s without looking it up.

okay…

You’re right, it is from the Qur’an – and it does mean All Will Perish. This is Qur’an fuh’sa (classic) Arabic so it’s much harder for me to figure out than Ahmee’a (public) Arabic.

(and installing Arabic into Photoshop takes about 15 minutes :) )
