Finally, here’s something I understand without reading the comments. Oh great Tyler, when are you going to do a comic about Stork winning the MSL, OSL, WCG, PL, and GOM simultaneously this year? I know its castle ‘vidcons’, but its about time those crazy Korean starcraft players got some love.
Funny thing is that I’m playing Mother 3 on my PSP at the moment.
All praise to the Pirate King!
Yar HAR! Yar HO!
Watch me booty Go!
No Cost, No FEE!
A Pirates life FOR ME!
You dance and sing!
It’s good to be the Pirate KING!
Hah! I’m actually listening to the Mother 3 soundtrack as I read this. Three cheers for the Pirate King!
I guess the Pirate King is the Martin Luther of the vidcon universe
Wow, I didn’t think it was possible to make a wii look THAT shocked!
Oh, so Mother 3 is only for nobles? Haha, just read this after playing Mother 3.
Ha ha, good comic. Takes a good artist to represent a look of surprise on a Wii.
I am also playing mother 3 currently on my PSP. how ironic is that haha
heh, it’s funny because I have been playing it on my psp too.
Nintendo had that free translation coming. They made it abundantly clear that they did not want our money.
ALL HAIL MATO and CREW, THEY HAVE SERVED THE PIRATE KING WELL.
The best part is now that so many have flocked to make the M3 translation work, more people than ever will know how to emulate games. Ahh, unintended repercussions.
Let us join together and sing the Song of Love.
Awesome comic.
also: Bloody Ultimate Chimera… that thing fucking followed me room to room!
Latin = Japanese
Awfully witty historical reference. The royal and clerical elite of the past would keep ancient Latin texts untranslated as a means of controlling and manipulating the masses (and their money) at will, using the power of language barriers alone.
The same is being done to gamers in modern times, with the outflow control of Nipponland releases in the hands of a powerful few. Unfortunately, they’ve got a way of letting us give them offerings for their games ONLY when they deem it most profitable.
Historically, once in a while, commoners would get a hold of translated texts, spread them and rebel. Royalty never liked that kind of thing at all.
Long live the people!
Long live the Pirate King!
