The one thing the Xbox port has in favor is the seamless splitscreen.
I say seamless because it is doable on the PC, but it requires inputing commands and its not a very obvious feature. Its also pretty hard to setup VS. mode in splitscreen.
That’s the tragedy, though.
I want the game.
But if I want free (and more!) stuff, I should get it on PC. But if I want to play with my friends, I have to get it on xbox…
PC Gaming is great if you’re a 40 year old virgin with money to burn on the tech to keep up with everything. Definitely the way to go if you can afford the $1,500 every 2-3 years to upgrade. Those of us with lives (or say, have kissed a girl) find consoles to be a good compromise between cost and game quality.
have fun paying 70-80 dollar for games because sony and microsoft are making the same systems for 1/5 of the cost, that you can’t fix if it breaks, or tinker with if you want to upgrade it, we’re still paying 40-50 dollars for ours =D
oh 2 year compie only spent 1000 on it, which would cost 3k everywhere else
and haven’t spent a dime on it yet, and it still runs everything i need it to at high (CoH, TF2, Half life 2 and its episodes, L4D and World at War) at 70 FPS at high
Dear lord, you people are assholes. Let people play whichever version of the game that they prefer. It doesn’t fucking matter!
Yes, the PC version has an advantage due to the modding community and Valve’s flexibility with DLC. But there’s absolutely nothing dumbed-down or inferior about the Xbox port, apart from that. Stop being so arrogant.

the 360 has it’s place, and Left 4 Dead is a great title on it. But almost all of Valves games have had a console port (No day of De Feet yet), and usually those ports are very poor in comparison. And there was a comment made earlier to the extent of “if I want extra content I get PC, if I want to play with my friends I get Xbox” here is where you would want to get new friends, as the majority of US here quite clearly see the superior version as being the PC version. If your friends are noobs, it looks poorly on you, and if you want to hang out with your noob friends, then go right ahead, we’re better off without you. You’re probably the type who puts internet explorer in their spare steam games.
What’s funny is that consoles are just specialized PCs that are used mainly for gaming. I think this whole argument is a moot point because, technically, we all play on computers.
