Lol, nice one. Sony fanboys have been predicting 2006, 2007 and 2008 would be the year of the PS3, now they think it’ll be 2009.

Yep the PS3 is basically a laughing stock, being taunted by Nintendo. Its definitely over for the PS3

Odd, really, considering 2008 was the Year of the Playstation 3. It had the best software lineup, after all.

Heartsbane: It’s talking about overall sales. Early this year, especially in Europe, it looked like the PS3 hardware was finally consistantly gaining momentum over the Xbox 360.

With the price drop the 360 stole that momentum back and then some. It even passed the PS3 again in Europe after the PS3 surpassed it earlier this year.

2008 was definetly not the year of the PS3. Here’s hoping 2009 fares better for Sony.

PS3 didn’t really win this year rather than suck less than the others this year.
2008 was a bad year in gaming, and it didn’t do a lot to help the PS3, even if it did do even less for the other consoles (which didn’t need helping).

In other words: PS3 was the console of the year 2008, but 2008 wasn’t the year of the PS3.

Well, at least it plays Blu-rays really good. Sony exhausted their supply of good will with me. I pushed 2008 as the year of the PS3 up until the chasm between MGS4 and LBP then it became obvious the ship was sinking.
