Home charging for stupid stuff is obviously being mentioned.

Don’t know what the cloud and silver lining reference though.

I’m assuming they’re saying that Home is selling stupid stuff yet the people are still clamoring for it? The silver lining being that they can get people to buy anything.

PS Home is a clusterbomb of fail, but they’re milking the userbase for tons of cash through Microtransactions.

Peasantry indeed. The plebs will pay out the nose for virtual t-shirts and pants.

Well, where would King Wii be if the peasantry weren’t willing to spend good money on crap?

If there were any good games to buy, people would be less willing to waste money on Home’s crap.

Yes, there are no good games on the PS3. That would explain why one hundred million games have been sold for it.

The selling number does not equal the quality. Just because it sells high, doesn’t mean that what they buy is a great game.

I think the Wii’s lineup has taught us that much at least…

The comments here reveal that there is a critical flaw in the way this comic is portrayed.

Peasants only spend a fraction of their time being poor and buying things. The majority of their energy is put towards hating other kings.

The comic would be more accurate if some Wii/Xbox peasants came by and egged the stand, only to have the peasants that were in line for Home start brawling with those peasants.

I’m just explaining what I think the comic meant by “every cloud has a silver lining.”
The PS3′s poor performance in the market is the cloud, that it causes the peasants, eager for content of any kind, to waste money on trivial crap is the silver lining.

Sounds like I’m kind of backing out of the argument here, but I do think the comic is right to portray the PS3 as such. I’ve only gotten a single exclusive for the system. It’s gathering even more dust than my Wii right now, and that’s saying something, because my Wii is broken!

I spy with my little eye a great rip-off. It makes my inner capitalist proud.

I dont know what is so bad about the PS3. I personaly hate home and have spent maybe 15 mins checking it out. I have atleast 11 game for the ps3 and a couple of downloaded games. Mind you I guess every system isnt perfect, ps3 doesnt have the greatest exclusives right now, Wii hasnt had anything good on it since Super mario Galaxys, and Xbox’s are still droping left right and centre.

Then we will have to agree to disagree Kvb, I have at least a dozen games that are exclusive to the PS3 and enjoy them all. I camped out all night to get a Wii launch day and sold it a year later.

The reason people are buying crap on Home, is because they are not the same people who read this sort of comic. There is clearly massive appeal in dressing up your virtual self in the mainstream.

The reason the PS3 underperforms is simply because its too damn expensive.

Blue Ballon has nailed these comments on the head.

Yeah, to each their own. I don’t think PS3 is a global failure or anything. It would’ve gone Virtual Boy on us if it were anything like that. I just think the system caters to a far too specific group of gamers, which I’m not a part of.
Though, then again, same could be said of all consoles this generation…

“some clouds more than others” refers specifically to Home’s pretty apparent failings also coming with a silver lining of bringing them in money.
