Choo-choo! Go Link, go!

You work damn fast.

First interesting thing Nintendo’s done in ages, and it turns out to be exactly the same thing they did the last two times, only with a train this time instead of a boat.

Is that the King of Red Lions in the smoke? The industrial revolution of Hyrule will be the end of them all!

March 26th, 2009 at 4:34 am

it’d be nice if there was a comic every week ;_;

King Phantom

I second zaqu.

March 26th, 2009 at 6:49 am

I third Zaqu. I miss this comic :(

I fourth zaqu. This use to be my most favorite gaming comic of all time (ranked it higher than Penny Arcade and Ctrl+Alt+Del. I view the comic as a TRUE video game comic) until the update stopped coming. Will probably be my favorite again if updates would start coming in again. Or at the very least get a news section on the site where we can atleast be told why there’s no update.

March 26th, 2009 at 11:55 am

^no that idea sucks but I fourth the comic once a week, or atleast more than once a month…

March 26th, 2009 at 11:56 am

Damn people stealing my fourths, well I fifth

March 26th, 2009 at 11:56 am

OMG, look at Link xD

It’s been a while, but this comic still rules.

March 26th, 2009 at 11:58 am

Crazy how many time I’ll hear something for the first time here of all places.

But a train? Really?

March 26th, 2009 at 3:53 pm

forgive me sir, but ur comix r obtuse and retarded

March 26th, 2009 at 6:30 pm

my favourite part of this particular strip is that it’s no joke

because it’s not fucking funny

why, nintendo. why ;__________;

Gorgeous drawing. Wish you would grace us with your work more often, or at least an explanation to your absence. This made my day.

EandomGuy: “ranked it higher than Penny Arcade and Ctrl+Alt+Del.”

Well, you should, because both of those webcomics are horrible, especially CAD.

March 27th, 2009 at 8:04 am

Penny Arcade and Ctrl+Alt+Del are horrible. They have no jokes, they just aren’t funny.

March 27th, 2009 at 11:55 am

I bet DS is in the backseat, running away from her lie of a marriage.

Too bad she can’t get away.

March 27th, 2009 at 2:37 pm

when will i be able to buy some castle vidcons merch?

March 27th, 2009 at 3:13 pm

This comic is still my favorite, reguadless of many times its updated. I still check it whenever I can. As long as its still open, I will keep coming back. Keep up the good work, sir.

March 27th, 2009 at 11:40 pm

Penny Arcade is actually very clever most of the time. But CAD sucks.

I didn’t mention CAD and Penny Arcade because of their humor (Awkward Zombie alone is more hilarious than those two put together). I mentioned them more because of their popularity as video game comics. Penny Arcade is clever but not funny. I don’t think CAD sucks, its more alright. All I’m trying to say is, more updates could bring this comic to a level of popularity as CAD and Penny Arcade since it is both clever and hilarious. Anyways, we need more comics. Even if it’s once a week. I mean, I was more hoping to see the writers take on OnLive more rather than the new zelda game. This comic doesn’t even have that old and clever wit in it where you have to read the comments to fully understand the comic. I miss the comics like that.

March 28th, 2009 at 4:11 pm

CAD is terrible in terms of writing and art. PA is levels of magnitude above it in both areas. PA is more of a nerd’s comic though, touching on things like table-top games and the social aspects of gaming and such. VGC is at a similar level, but replace anime with tabletop.

AZ matches PA in terms of art and wit, but also wholly doesn’t follow video games, and uses them more for characters to pull off a separate punchline.

Castle Vidcoms is a true gaming comic though. The problem it faces though is a lack of subject matter in the industry. Especially during certain seasons of the year.

Is there any significance with the triangular sleepers or is that just a nod towards the tri-force pieces to re-enforce the Zelda theme?

March 30th, 2009 at 8:44 am

The sleepers are the same in the trailer, but THAT is probably a nod towards the tri-force theme.

-> Random Guy

Today even a webcomic about a farting rabbit is funnier than CAD… :(

March 30th, 2009 at 11:51 am

Ok, now we want a comic about the PS2 price drop. :D

(we = the world)

Nomadic Blade

At first I thought this was a terrible joke……then I saw the trailer…..dear God Nintendo why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

@ Ztuff
I didn’t mention CAD because of it’s humor. I mentioned it because of its popularity (despite it getting a lot of hate that I see, it is still one of the most visited webcomics there is, hence the reason why I brought it up).

And also I would settle for a comic about anything with script and some good old wit in it. Seriously, I miss seeing new updates for this comic. Its a bit saddening to see what I consider the most purest form of video game webcomics out there being so neglected.

What is that thing in the background? it’s can’t possibly be King of Red Lions because this comic’s on land.

Solstice Zero

I’m glad I’m not the only one who think this game looks awful. I mean, I liked Phantom Hourglass, and I loved the GAMECUBE version of Twilight Princess (no damn waggle controls). It’s like Nintendo is trying harder and harder to alienate their previous fanbase.
